When you are passionate and inspired about something you can end up painting the town red.But this time around it is painting the basketball way.Yes Shanghai based artist Yi Hong got so inspired by former NBA Player Yao Ming that she felt could possibly suffice her adulation for the former star by paying him a true tribute using the very game itself that was instrumental in bringing fame to him.
And looking at it even Yao Ming would be so proud to look at as Hong had done it like a perfectionist .Yi Hong loves to paint but not with the conventional Paint brush instead with the basketball. She made a detailed portrait of superstar Yao Ming using nothing but red paint and a basketball. The video which was posted on You tube showed the spectacular way in which she ends up magically making a real good portrait.
She dips the ball in to the paint and carefully bounces it on the canvas and slowly the portrait starts to take a shape.Hong managed to get the print of the famous player which was all she had at the time of making the portrait. She used to often check with the print to ensure accuracy and exact depiction of the player on the canvas. The you tube video got over 4,00,000 views within just a few days of putting on the net.
We can all imagine playing a game of basketball but certainly none of us would have ever imagined to use the basketball replacing the paint brush to paint portraits.
The feat gained prominence on January ,2012 and that impressed us to include this feat and honour the work.
