Most Number of Persons shaving at a single venue

This time around it is Gillette's turn to set a record for getting the most number of persons to shave at a single venue.This was an iniative taken by  major supermarket  chain company  named Masouti  in Northern Greece.They gathered 2,150 persons at their   new warehouse in Thessaloniki,Greece  and the participants  clean shaved  during the event.The event was organised by Gillette to promote their new Fusion Proglide Razor.The condition for the event was that each participant should have had  atleast 24 hour hair growth to participate in the event.During the shaving process each person had to make atleast five razor strikes  to qualify as clean shaven  as per record guidelines.
This happened to be a record breaking event  as it surpassed their  previous record of 1,868 participants organised by Gillette in  Mumbai,India in 2009.
Gillette wanted to get a feel about the after market feedback about the ambitious product Fusion Razor and in an attempt to publisize this created a world record..This proved to be even more advantageous for the  company as they got a massive response  from the participants went on ahead to become a world record breaking event.The entire activity was carried out before the presence of 50 supervisors and 2 witnesses on March 23,2012.
