Longest Breath Holding Under water by an Individual

Now that might seem like a yogic penance of  a sort.Breath has always been the difference between life and death.And to control such a vital element which proves our existence can just be out of our limits of understanding and imagination.
Yes German diver Thomas Sietas aged  35 years  has challenged human convictions with a lung capacity of  more than 20 percent   of an average individual.This extra attribute in him has never deterred him to  harness  this potential out.

Sietas was  competing in Changsha, China alongside former underwater breath-holding world record holder Ricardo Bahaia of Brazil, and defeated Bahaia's record of 20:21  by over 2 minutes.It may look as if this guy would  have had  the assistance of  oxygen  cylinders .But seriously  not  this was all his effort.

The pair of  Sietas and Bahaia were dropped into clear side-by-side tanks containing water cooled to 41 degrees Fahrenheit to help them relax and calm their bodies. The temperature was slowly raised and by the time they were done, it had hit 95 degrees.Sietas has set the record for static apnea ( a term for holding breath for long)  not once but several times.He used to swim distances holding his breath and that took the notice of his scuba instructor to note his unusual ability to hold breath.

And ever since then from 2000 he has been setting new benchmarks on his remarkable ability to hold breath underwater.He makes his preparation by avoiding food atleast five hours before the stunt to slow down the body metabolism and then goes out to fill his lungs with  pure oxygen which can add more than 10  minutes to his time.

He held his breath for a  long 22 minutes,22 seconds which might leave us all bewildered if we had directly watched the feat.Sietas made news on June 4,2012 at Germany.

Greatest Weight lifted by a human tongue

It is true that humans can go to any extent when it comes to setting records or beating them.Let it be outrageous,weird,scary,adventurous,crazy  you can add any number of adjectives but humans can just resist them all the way.
The reason for mentioning this  was that  we were pretty surprised by the grit and courage of this man Thomas Blackthorne who  has mastered the art of lifting heavy objects hooked through his tongue.Sounds really scary  but must really hats off to this man for showing the world what majority of us would find it hard and may be even nervous to do.
This incredible record  of lifting 12.5 Kg weight at the El Show Olímpico, in Mexico City, Mexico,  was held on 1 August 2008.The entire experience would have been like a   spike of pain – something like when one's dentist drills at high speed into a nerve by mistake – jolted up on the  head and across the  tongue in particular for this guy.This sends shrills to our backbone too.
Mind it one has to be mentally prepared,seek a lot of training, and exercise to ensure that the tongue is fit and strong to even try doing a similar feat.At the thought of such records itself we do tend to doubt the sanity of the individual attempting such records .But  Blackthorne  is a perfect example of mind power and the perseverence to undertake the challenge.
Thomas Blackthorne from United Kingdom  has earned the accolades hard enough much to the shock of the world .He  truly deserves good honour.

Tallest Wave ever Surfed

American pro surfer Garrett McNamara has done something no other man alive has done:.He has surfed a 78-foot  tall wave and lives to tell us about  it.Last November the 44 year old pro surfer captured the world's attention when he came face-to-face with a monstrous wave just off the coast of Nazare, Portugal.The feat was attempted on November , 2011.

 McNamara narrowly edges out the previous record, set by Mike Parsons back in 2008, by a foot. He actually ended  beating Parsons's  record by a narrow margin .He took the aid of  a jet ski to tow in  as waves of this giant size are almost impossible to paddle manually.Apart from surfing the huge wave he was also equally concerned to avoid clashing the huge rocks near the coast.As falling off would reduce the chance of survival itself let alone making or beating records.But this man mustered all the guts and tided over the gigantic wave to tell the world of his feat which no man till date on this planet had ever tried before.

Being a professional skier since the age of 17 years helped him  to get enough expertise to master the craft well.

Mc Namara reminisces the entire episode as a magical  as everything fell in to the right place.

While on the jet ski he passed the first swell without much deliberation only to see the second record setting behemoth shaping ominously behind him.He rode the monsterous wave and stayed very much in control of his board as the colossal wall of water drove him towards the rocks.

That has been the pinnacle of passion for this adventurous guy who is a living example of the quote'Live your dreams and see it to make it happen'

Now that was so inspiring for us and this outrageous attempt  made news on May 15,2012.

Oldest Performing clown

At the age of 95 years and still clowning around is what the Montana man has proved to the world.Yes we are talking about Floyd Creekmore affectionately called 'creeky' by his friends. At a time when peers of his age would love to stretch their legs and relax this man  does not mind to shake his legs and feet  like a clown who is probably  70 years younger than him. Well Floyd Creekmore is supposedly the oldest Performing clown  the world is  having today.He’s been entertaining people at fairs and rodeos since the age of 10, and he insists he has no plans to sign  off   his red rubber nose any time soon.
Floyd finds it extremely gratifying  to perform the job of a clown.Creekmore has been a clown with the Al Bedoo Shrine Circus in Billings, Montana  since 1981. The circus raises money to help disabled and burned kids receive free treatment at Shriners Hospitals for Children.

The eternally young clown owns about a dozen clown costumes, some of which were sewn by his wife and his niece.   He says his favorite get-up is a yellow and orange costume with matching orange hair and a yellow bowler hat.
Creekmore enjoys being a clown and loves the idea to bring a smile and laughter on the children's face.In his attempt to make children laugh he also has a philantrophic purpose attached to being a clown on the circus stage.The proceeds of the circus go to raise money for hospitals and providing free treatment for children suffering from injuries.That was a classy act of the man so magnanimous at heart to see the world from a broader angle.
That proves the fact that this desire to restore cheer on the  children's face helps to be still rocking high on life  even at old age.

Smallest Car

We have heard of smallest houses and tiny photographs used to make big portraits. But we  have not thought about a car so small barely a scooter's size.The Peel P50 is a three-wheeled microcar manufactured in 1962 and 1965 by Peel Engineering on the Isle of Man.The Peel P50  the single seater car has been resurrected  and has staged a comeback.The P50  originally weighed less than 59 kilograms and was just 134cm long and 99 cm wide.

According to the first version of the stock the car had  enough space for just one adult and one shopping bag to be placed,A single door on the left hand side,one windscreen wiper and one head light .But the latest incarnation  of  the car is believed to have electric motors putting up 1 Kilowatt of power.The car can attain a speed of 12 Km/hour.

The car has two  front wheels and one on the back  and the latest is almost on the lines of the original  with only major mechanical differences in suspension,steering and drive train.

The car came to be recently touted as the smallest car on June 23,2012at Isle of Man,Britain.

Largest LipStick Portrait

What better way to please a woman like  gifting her a  cosmetic stuff like lip sticks.She would easily fall prey to such gifting ideas and feel on the top of the world.This was what artist Amer Shomali also had in his mind.He gave a fitting tribute to Palestinian  revolutionary Leila Khaled by making a portrait of her  using 3500 lipsticks of 14 colours.

Art has no boundaries.The concept  was to pay tribute to her who rather had  became a poster girl after she had hijacked an   air plane on August 29, 1969.

The famous photo of Leila Khaled holding an AK-47 and wearing a kaffiyeh, taken by Eddie Addams as a reference was taken. Amer Shomali created a sort of canvas out of lipstick holders and then arranged 3,500 lipsticks of 14 different colors to best recreate the Palestinian icon’s visage. Called “Icon”, Shomali’s artwork was featured in  an art exhibition organized at Birzeit  University.Presented at Framed-Unframed exhibition, the project was aligned to the overall theme of the event, which was “a critical exploration of visual artists’ changing representations of Palestinian women”.

The image of the revolutionary was unveiled at the Birzeit Art Exhibition in Palestine on July 9,2012 .A different dimension to art made us to include and honour  this one .

Most of us would agree with the idea that we all can speak approximately 65 to 100 words per minute.This was just an approximation some  can be a little low and some may quote a higher number.But nothing would be as much as speaking  603.32 words in  less than a minute.This is the latest one from  Fran Capo's desk.

Yes we are talking about Fran Capo the fastest female  talker who can  easily mouth 11 words per second.That is really terrific of Capo to have achieved it.Fran Capo  amazed everyone for the first time on Larry King Live Show by speaking 585 words per minute on March 5,1986.The latest has been in which she broke her own record of  mouthing 603.32 words in just 54.2 seconds.

This can be a bit credited to her adventurous  childhood.She has bungee jumped ,slept on an ice hotel,flown combat aircraft,had drove race cars ,scuba dived with sharks,and even climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.All this might have induced her to experiment herself and come out as the fastest female talker ever .

Couples wearing matching outfits

We come across matching collection of dresses while staging a dance drama,skits,dramatizations,theatre or may be even for a  film shooting.So that accounts for the reel world.But what we are trying to say is something that  has been happening in real times and that  too has become a part of their wardrobe collection.

It is a true story about Mel and Joey Schwanke.The couple married for the past 65 years and have been wearing matching outfits for more than 35 years.This has been the couple's tip for their happy marriage.This sets the couple apart from others because especially in the west we see couples going together for a brief time and part ways due to misunderstandings,disputes,not getting time to spend with each other etc.

But Mel and Joey Schwanke can reach out to all those who are facing trouble in their marriage and give them some food for thought.

The couple from a small city outside Omaha, Nebraska, has 146 custom-made, matching outfits. And they never leave the house unless they are dressed in the same pattern. 

It's one thing that has helped keep them so close through six and a half decades working side-by-side at a flower shop they own in Fremont.This helps them to be together and stay connected always.Mel's tie, and often his jacket, are cut from the same cloth used for  Joey's dresses. The outfits are usual floral-themed, a reference to their business .The idea to wear matching outfits struck to them when they had been on a vacation and now with over 35 years has become more of a habit and  obsession.

Painting with BasketBall

When you are passionate  and inspired about something you can end up  painting the town red.But this time around it is painting the basketball way.Yes Shanghai based artist Yi Hong got so inspired by former NBA Player Yao Ming that she felt could possibly suffice her adulation for the former star by  paying  him a true tribute using the very game itself that was instrumental in bringing fame to  him.
And looking at it even Yao Ming would be so proud to look at as Hong had done it like a perfectionist .Yi Hong loves to paint but not with the conventional Paint brush instead with the basketball.She made a detailed portrait of superstar Yao Ming using nothing but red paint and a basketball.The video which was posted on You tube showed the spectacular way in which she ends up magically making a real good portrait.
She dips the ball in to the paint and carefully bounces it on the canvas and slowly the portrait starts to take a shape.Hong managed to get the print of the famous player which was all she had at the time of making the portrait.She used to often check with the print to ensure accuracy and exact  depiction of the player on the canvas.The you tube video  got  over 4,00,000 views within just a few days of putting on the net.
We can all imagine playing a game of basketball but certainly none of us  would have ever imagined to use the basketball replacing the paint brush to paint portraits.
The feat gained prominence on January ,2012 and that impressed us to  include this feat and honour the work.

Self Portrait made with own frozen Blood

This sounds very creepy to hear and may even get scary at the thought itself.But this raring to go artist would go to any extent to define art .Yes we are talking about Marc Quinn the man who feels that art is beyond the seamless boundaries  of imagination.The idea would make you haunt your dreams of  Quinn making  self portraits with own  frozen blood.Now that was really an unconventional way of art depiction.

Quinn believes that he is inspired to use unconventional materials in his art work  to illuminate Human life in his work.The physical body is subjected to mutability but the work of self depiction in this way of work would remain to be immortal. 

This bizzare art project by Marc Quinn in which he created a detailed mould of his face and took 4 to 5 liters of his own blood in a gap of  five to six months and used them on his portraits.He froze the blood collected and creates a creepy portrait by applying it on the face mould.The portraits are stored inside refrigerator at -15 degree celsius  to prevent the melting of frozen blood..Quinn wanted to express through this form of art work the continuous series of changes on his face that takes place and believes he is in the process  recording those changes like countenance,ageing etc by making such portraits .This is the true presentation of art and science  working together

Painting with both hands simultaneously

This was an incredible mastery at  work.Yes and all the laurels goes to  Xiaonan Sun  an artist from United States of America.Can you imagine writing with both hands or use both your hands to do two different tasks at the same time.Quite Tough Right?Some of the Ambidextrous guys would say that it was hardly a matter.
But coming with a whole new idea of painting two different portraits with both the hands simultaneously is really a bit of a task.Xiaonan Sun the talented artist has shown us that he can do this very effortlessly .Sun became a you tube sensation when his video went viral showing him drawing the portraits of Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins with both hands, at the same time.
Both the portraits looked truly impressive and the fact that  it made the work unique was the fact Sun  had managed to accomplish  it at the same time using both his hands.We must say that Xiaonan Sun optimally uses the resources and aids provided by God to man.
The fact which can make heads turn is this artist is a self taught individual and to say a self made man.The young artist discovered his passion by chance during his senior years at college which made him miss out his classes and churn out an artistic career for himself.Sun takes 2 to 3 hours to complete the portraits in detail.He bought an expensive painting kit, but even though he enjoyed painting, the expensive materials and messy oil paints made him turn his attention to charcoal.
The talented artist's work of ambidextrous  painting  became a huge  hit  on May 11,2012.

Largest Steel Statue

The diversity of new media art in India added yet another feather to its cap with the official unveiling of "Line of Control", a monumental steel sculpture, by the country's leading contemporary artist Subodh Gupta at the South Court Mall in Saket,New Delhi,India.That was a good piece of artistic creativity  displayed at Kiran Nadar Museum of Art,DLF  on April 20,2012.

It is made of stainless steel kitchen utensils and culinary equipment like plates, bowls, ladles, spoons, tiffin boxes, sieves and saucers.Subodh Gupta the man behind making this giant sized sculpture has been using this deviant art practice of using these steel objects  for over  two decades.Each artist has his or her own uncanny style of presenting their art work which is the outcome of their burning passion.

That passion fuels in to coming up with something unique and later turns out to become a masterpiece in itself.

The sculpture resembles that of a giant mushrom cloud with a base .Each art work symbolises something different yet purposeful which the artist precisely conveys it through his work.This one was also not new to the concept and reflected our country's troubled borders and the tough times we live in.This was probably Subodh Gupta wanted to convey that there existed  cold war with our neighbours and the relations do not seem fruitful to either side.Each has their vested interest and our borders are not really safe enough. It is the people living in the nation whose peace  and well being are  at stake due to the existing unrest with the neighbouring countries.

Stamp collection,coin collection were all the most sought after hobbies even a decade back.But with the net providing so much of entertainment value many of us have probably given up on the idea of pursuing hobbies.Hobbies are basically things which you do when you get free time and  passion for it drives you to continue hobbies when ever you get  even little time from your busy routine.

And the passion for coins from various countries has driven Sudhir Lunawat to the pinnacle of excitement.Yes this young  lad from  Bikaner,Rajasthan has 10,000  currency coins from 89 countries and  cannot afford to take his eyes off them.Such has been the craze for coin collection that this 20 something lad  has been collecting coins for the past 5 years.
He  proudly boast of having collected  10,000 coins,1500 Bank notes,madols from 89 countries.

That was really a good example of  a passionate hobby that  has led  this guy to  gain much popularity after he started getting recognised on November, 2006  for his huge coin collection.

Dolls have always been one of the biggest fascination for children especially for little  girls.They personify dolls to be their best companion and love to carry them along where ever they go.Sometimes the fascination for dolls turns  in to obsession for some kids and that  prompts them to an emotional outburst during separation.Such has been the craziness for dolls  for many kids in the past.Today when in most of the houses both the parents go out for work children usually find solace in dolls and keep them close to themselves.

But this was about kids.Girls by the gift of nature itself have motherly instinct which is  at times visible when they treat their dolls as their own kids,act as giving food & water,nursing the dolls when it falls etc.

But here we were pretty amazed to see a woman  who herself is a mother to kids personifies and treats her many dolls as real life kids and  is so  obsessed with them.Only later did we realise that this lady none other than Marilyn Mansfield  from Staten Island,New York has  a big collection of more than 300  dolls .Her dolls collection varies from Barbie dolls,real toddlers,'Kreepy kiddies' etc.She washes them,maintains them so well like real kids and would never step out without carrying her obsession on her arms.

Looking at this huge craze we thought this lady really needed to be awarded for her deep love for dolls that too when we heard even her own family has also fallen for her passion cum obsession for dolls.

Straw Stuffed Mouth

This one left us totally aghast when we heard somebody has stuffed a whole bunch of  straws in his mouth.We use  a straw to drink a juice and then after finishing we would not mind to throw it off. But this guy   would go that extra bit to prove himself to the world.Humans are pretty much capable of  doing strange and unusual things which generally look difficult or perhaps can  even  drive others  crazy  .Especially when it comes to making the headlines like creating records or breaking them we humans have always proved our mettle with the passage of time
We are referring to Sumit Singh who stuffed 610 drinking straws in his mouth for a minute.Imagine the will of the man and the drive to be the best at something.A resident of Pandeypur,Varnasi,Uttar Pradesh has created this record of Most number of straws stuffed in the mouth within the local sphere and plans to take his skill and showcase it in the international stage to gain wide recognition.
The performance was a part of the Programme'Miracle for One' organised by Shri Vision Social Empowerment and Welfare Association (SRV SEWA)  at Indore,Madhya Pradesh,India on November 10,2011.The programme was also supported by 'Dainik Dabang Dunia'  a  leading newspaper .

Longest Piece of cloth swallowed by an Individual

Till date we have heard of rats,rodents and other pesky creatures feeding on wires and cloth and trying to mess with everything.People try everything posible to ward them off from their houses.But here is one great man who has taken it upon himself to swallow a long piece of cloth thus giving a tough fight to these creatures and  in the bargain also leaving us petrified by this act.

Yes we are talking about none other than G.P Katiya  who had  mustered enough guts and trained skillfully  to swallow an 18 ft long,2.5  inches  wide in to his mouth.
The event was organised by Shri Vision Social Empowerment and Welfare Association (SRV SEWA) during the programme Miracle for One which was also supported by Newspaper daily 'Dainik Dabang Dunia'.This feat was done under severe yogic practice and meticulous effort.
The programme Miracle for one provides a platform for everyone to showcase their talent before hundreds of onlookers.The show was staged on November 9,2011 at Indore,Madhya Pradesh,India.
This shows that we have so much of hidden potential and power within us.Yoga and other methods of self discovery can help us realise these talents and unleash it to the world.

Most Number of Swords swallowed simultaneously

We have heard of swallowing food and gulping it down or may be attempt  fast swallowing etc But have you heard of swallowing sharp object like sword in to your mouth.When it comes to setting records humans try different things and raise benchmarks whether it be making records or beating them.Swords,Dagger,Knife known to be  sharp cutting tools which are particularly  found mainly on the kitchen table or at the shelf of a toolsman.

But here  we are talking about Kishan Valaiah Ayula and his daring stunt. This man  went on to swallow 22 swords during  the show"Ab India Todega"  in Mumbai,Maharashtra on February 13,2011.That was really fabulous and outrageous attempt of the  man to swallow very sharp objects like swords in his mouth.

Kudos to his bravery.He is also credited to have swallowed many swords whilst juggling three objects and that displays his  expertise in performing the stunts.

This  sight would leave you seated on the edge of your sofa but the feat was  done so effortlessly  that it looked as if he was  swallowing    a bunch of bananas or grapes. We were impressed  looking at the nature of this power packed performance  that we decided to honour a place for this one.

Pulling a car by a beard while wearing skates

Can You imagine your well grown beard  you so proudly flaunt around frequently to give a tough competition to the giant sized earth movers like crane etc which are used for pulling and lifting very heavy objects.If you have not really thought about it then you must  meet Kapil Gehlot who can  help you with some food for thought in this regard.
Yes this man has all the daring to showcase this amazing stunt he performed by pulling a Hyundai Ascent car weighing  1,046 Kg  over a level of 68.96 meters  wearing skates on his feet.And all this he completed in just 7 minutes ,28 seconds.The event was organised by Rajasthan Adventure Sports Culture and Welfare Society  at Jodhpur,Rajasthan.
 Did you Ever think in your wildest dreams  that your beard would serve the function of a thick rope? Kapil Gehlot had a list of restrictions for the attempt before actually winning the coveted title of the  pulling a car by a beard wearing skates.
The  person attempting the record should not touch tow line and neither should seek assistance  from others for towing the vehicle.The feat was performed on July 3,2011 and proved out to be successful and fascinating  to include this distinct record as well.

This one can be truly termed as dreaming high early and setting the cash register ringing.Yes we are talking about Harli Jordean the eight year old young boy from Stoke Newington,London who made heads turn with his achievement.
The tiny tycoon of his internet Marble empire'Marble King' has been selling anything from from tubs of marbles to £599 limited edition Duke of York solitaire tables  for the past two years.

Can You Imagine a handicapped individual leading a life like any other normal person.That too  being self reliant and doing all the activities  himself.Yes that is what even Susant Pattnaik also dreamt of and this had inspired him to make an amazing invention of all times.His invention has impressed even the great minds at Massacheuttes Institute of Technology during the Technological Review and was published in TR-35 category in Boston,United States of America in 2010.

All this has been achieved by the 17 year old Susant Pattnaik for his invention'Susant's Breathing Sensor Apparatus'.This device can help any disabled  like deaf,dumb and  blind person to do all types of  work like any normal person.For this remarkable invention he has received accolades from former president of India Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam.He was also  recognised by Institute of Physics in Orissa and has been very much interested in  working for the welfare of the physically challenged persons.

The invention  made us all spellbound with his achievement.Presently  the young lad is the Chairperson of Scientific Innovation Foundation (SIF) in Orissa,India .

 Both talent and passion can drive you crazy about a particular thing provided you approach it single mindedly.Yes the passion bug bit Rirendra Shreshtha   when he was barely 15 month old.
Getting to pursue your passion and becoming a force to reckon with  at the tender  age of 2 years 2 months is remarkable.At this age he was selling his art work at Nepal Art council ,  Babr Mahal in Kathmandu,Nepal. This talented kid got so fascinated with photography that he has successfully displayed  his work in as much as six exhibition.
Rirendra who hails from a family totally adepted in photography.He has his father,elder sister all   very much delved in to photography and hence this art was not new to him.It runs in  their blood.
The exhibition lasted for four days from December 31,2006 to January 3,2007 when the world  took  notice of  this little boy's talent as he shot to glory.He has till date taken more than 2500 special and unique photos.Looking at this child genius  inspired us to include this feat in to our world of records.

Youngest Person Behind the camera

Film Direction is a serious subject especially to  a person who  has decided to don the director's cap himself.It would mean  to challenge his passion and thinking  as the entire onus of a film turning up on the screen depends a lot flowing from the director's table.This is something many of the film directors would also agree.But there is a  young lad who has made India proud with his debut directorial venture C/O Footpath which was released in 2006.

We were very much surprised by the maturity to handle a script,define characters,work with other artists and get everything fall in to the right place.This  film was an achievement as it was  crafted by a 10 year old wonder kid Kishan Shrikant.The subject of the film dealt about the life of slum boys and rag pickers.The way they become victims to social abuse and are denied their right to education only because they come from economically backward families.The film highlights the life of the poor slum dwellers and the way they use their children as a means to earn their livelihood.It is about the struggle of a poor  eight year old boy who is a rag picker and supports his family .And  in his quest for knowledge goes on to chase people right from   the  slum lord to the minister of education to seek education like any other normal kid of his age.

The film originally made in Kannada was really heart warming and leaving all  cyninism has been made well.

It was an  impressive track of performance delivered by this boy through this film that we decided to include  it and  honour the child prodigy.The film ' Care of Footpath'  was released  on November 26,2006 at Bangalore,Karnataka,India.

Youngest Fashion Designer

The Fashion world is constantly changing with different trends and style quotient od people are also  dynamically rising because in tune with the  growing demands of the fashion industry.The fashion world has started  setting new  trends with the infusion of a  rising  young star .Well all of you may be aware of Gisele Bundchen  the most successful supermodel having her own signature collection  produced by Belgium based C & A .
If this was not enough  there is much more in the offering  coming from the Bundchen family Fashion runs inside the  Bundchen family  and has become  a trait.We are talking about Duda Bundchen the five year old niece of Gisele Bundchen  who made heads turn when she went on to become the youngest fashion designer at such a tender age.
Duda seems to follow her illustrious aunt's footsteps.
The young Bundchen got her start when she was chosen as Brandili Mundi’s spokesmodel last year. Thanks to the success of the campaign, the company offered to extend her contract until 2013, while also giving the mini-model the chance to design her first solo collection, ’Duda Bundchen For Brandili Mundi,’ The collection was designed and produced with eco-friendly materials, which must have pleased aunt Gisele, a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environment Programme.
The young  Brazilian girl's opinion was always considered on prints, cuts and details and only after her approval was inducted in to the brand.The campaign was shot in Duda’s hometown of Porto Alegre, in the south of Brazil, under the supervision of an army of some 30 professionals, including fashion producers, hairstylists, make-up artists, photographers and assistants. Duda’s parents, Raquel Bundchen (Gisele’s sister) and Paulo Borges, were also present at the shooting.
We were totally taken aback by this young powerhouse of talent that we decided to include this record in our books.Duda has been working for Brandili Mundi and made this amazing record  at Sau Paulo,Brazil on April 21,2012.

Rotating a hand Anti clockwise

We all  can rotate our hands  and health freaks amongst us would say it is very much a part of our regular exercise routine.Rotating the hands clockwise is very much easy and many of us can even manage to do it for even a minute.
But we have a story contrast to tell you guys to what we have just discussed.Yes we are talking about ShashiKant Sonar who has left many of us totally aghast by his miraculous feat which went on to become a world record.Well you will be amazed to know that this person is capable of rotating his hands anti clockwise with a speed of 135 rotations per minute.Shri Vision Social Empowerment and Welfare Association (SRV SEWA)  organised  'Miracle for One'  aimed to  showcase the massive talent of youth to the world and this feat was one of them.This was held at  Indore,MadhyPradesh,India on November 10,2011.

Wedding is an occassion where two people enter in to a relationship after performing all the traditional,religious rituals  in the presence of thousands of guests .Normally all weddings irrespective of caste,religion etc are always celebrated with utmost grandeur.People celebrate the occassion depending on his or her financial capabilities.But the one we are talking about had proved out to be the mother of all weddings.
Yes this  is  true.We are elaborating on the largest mass wedding that took place at Sun Moon University ,in Asan South Korea.Sun Myung Moon the founder of the unification church was the man behind this grand event.

The 'blessing ceremony', held by the Unification Church, was its largest for 10 years and could be the last may be to be performed  at such a large scale officiated by 89-year-old Reverend Sun Myung Moon, the controversial founder of the church.
More than 20,000 people crammed into the Sun Moon University campus in Asan, south of Seoul, for the main event this morning, with another 20,000 joining simultaneous ceremonies in the U.S. Brazil and Venezuela

Some were new couples who met for the first time in recent months in unions arranged by the church, while others were married couples renewing their vows.

The brides wore white veils and wedding dresses, or their national dress. The grooms wore black suits with red ties, with white scarves wrapped around their necks.

The mass wedding ceremony is meant to mark Sun Moon's 90th birthday and the 50th anniversary of his marriage to Han Hak-ja.

This was one of the few rare occassions in which you can see a  casual application of  sunscreen on the face  can afford to garner  so much attention.Yes we are talking of the 681 guest who had  turned up for the event and participated  in the record attempt of Most  number of persons applying Sunscreen simultaneously   at Sandusky,Ohio,United States of America The condition to qualify for the event was to apply sunscreen continousoly for two minutesThe event was attempted to raise money for the Northern Ohio Chapter of American Cancer Society.The objective was to create a world record event so that the proceeds  of the event would go for a noble cause.
This turned out to be a record breaker when it surpassed Belgium's  675.
The event was organised at the Sandusky amusement park to attarct more crowds and make this event  get much adulation and fanfare.The partcipants  were allowed to get discounted tickets to the park.
Hence a world record event  touted for a noble cause  eventually became a record breaker on July,31,2011.

Most number of Persons doing Crosswords Simultaneously

A crossword is a word puzzle that normally takes the form of a square or a rectangular grid of white and shaded squares. The goal is to fill the white squares with letters, forming words or phrases, by solving clues which lead to the answers.Crossword puzzle  was chosen for creating this record as the game involves a lot of focus on the english words and elements of english language.

A total of 550 participants took part in the 6th Nationwide English Olympics at the Pacific Mall,Jakarta and started solving crossword puzzle.The Bina Nusantara University hatched this concept in 2006 with the scrabble word game.The focus was mainly to increase the english vocablary and knowledge bank of the students.The competition would set a benchmark and motivate more students to raise their performance in English Language.Being the english olympics it was important for the students to be well versed in the language and crossword puzzle proved to be the best thought option to challenge the English vocablary  skills of the students.

On February 21,2010 the University went on to create a new landmark in history by making it a world record event  for the huge number of students who had participated in solving the crossword puzzle.The University officials were pleased with this over whelming response of 550 students and that showed in their tyrst to notch up English skills at the International level.

Most number of persons dressed as Mohan Das Karamchand Gandhi

Mahatma Gandhi  as he was  called or  officially read the full name 'Mohan Das Karamchand Gandhi was  the undisputed  peace guru of all times .Gandhiji has always been credited to have ousted the British from the Indian soil without a drop of blood shed using his  Non violence  and  Satyagraha movement.It is because of these attributes that the whole world still revers the legend so much

It has been 64 years since his death and the kids who are the future citizens of the country should know about the pain and struggle Gandhiji and other leaders suffered  at the hands of the Britishers It was for their only so called sin of  dreaming  for  a free India. On the occassion of his death anniversary Training Resource and Care for Kids (T.R.A.C.K.S)  a charitable association for underpriviledged children decided to pay fitting tribute to the great legend by making the kids dress in the attire the great leader dressed when he was alive.The trademark  Gandhian dress of a White Dhothi, walking Stick,skin coloured caps ,round eye glasses,grey moustache,shawl were all donned up by the kids to make themselves resemble like  the original Mahatma. About 485 kids  were gathered and dressed as Gandhiji  as they marched on the streets of Kolkata This proved that we still have not forgotten Gandhi's contribution of  set ting India free from the English Rule.

The effort by the charitable organisation  T.R.A.C.K.S proved out to be a major record event  at Kolkata,India on January 30,2012

Most People having breakfast in the bed

It was a rainy day and that did not deter hundreds to be a part of the event of having breakfast  on bed.The event was to coincide with the release of a Priceline ‘I Feel Beautiful’ survey of 12,000 women that found that 51 per cent would like to get more sleep and 46 per cent believe that eating well is the is the key to looking beautiful.

The event highlighted the fact of looking good which does not restrict itself to only skin beauty but also feeling good from within.That is exactly possible if you can have a good night's sleep.A sleep will help you to feel better and start your day with a huge bang.

Therefore Priceline and Women's Health felt this was the best opportunity to catch up and  spread the message by creating a world record event.They gathered 289 persons and many of whom got up at 4.30 am sacrificing little bit of sleep to be a part of this record venture.

The breakfast was served by celebrity Chef Ed Halmagyi and everyone enjoyed the substantial food on the platter.Popular pharmacy and beauty chain Priceline had partnered up with leading magazine Women's Health pampered the guests by serving them food  while still sitting on the bed.If this was not enough the guest also got a  goodie bag worth 100$ absolutely free.

The 289 enthusiastic participants gathered and enjoyed the breakfast meal and felt really beautiful and happy to be a part of this grand occassion.

The world record breaking event organised by Priceline and Women's Health took place at St Martins Corner,New South Wales, Sydney,Australia on March 2,2012.

A high five is a celebratory hand gesture that occurs when two people simultaneously raise one hand, about head high, and push, slide or slap the flat of their palm and hand against the palm and flat hand of their partner. The gesture is often preceded verbally by the phrase "Give me five" or "High five".
Saint Mary and Gonzaga supporters rushed into the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on earlier this month for the Zappos.com West Coast Conference (WCC) Men's Championship game.
With Zappos.com being the main sponsor for the basketball tournament, they decided this year to not just sponsor the game, but amplify their involvement by engaging the crowds through record breaking fun.
The record was to beat 2,176 participants performing a high five simultaneously.
The orleans stadium packed up with 5,800 persons were all geared up and excited as the game was very close with just a few points difference and competition set through the crowd.
After the buzzer sounded we were enthralled to hear the noise of a High five made by thousands.This finally counted to 3,504  persons had performed a high five simultaneously taking the set record too high for others  to supersede in the future.The participants made the record breaking  news  at New Orleans Arena,Las Vegas,United States of America on March 5,2012.

Most Number of Persons shaving at a single venue

This time around it is Gillette's turn to set a record for getting the most number of persons to shave at a single venue.This was an iniative taken by  major supermarket  chain company  named Masouti  in Northern Greece.They gathered 2,150 persons at their   new warehouse in Thessaloniki,Greece  and the participants  clean shaved  during the event.The event was organised by Gillette to promote their new Fusion Proglide Razor.The condition for the event was that each participant should have had  atleast 24 hour hair growth to participate in the event.During the shaving process each person had to make atleast five razor strikes  to qualify as clean shaven  as per record guidelines.
This happened to be a record breaking event  as it surpassed their  previous record of 1,868 participants organised by Gillette in  Mumbai,India in 2009.
Gillette wanted to get a feel about the after market feedback about the ambitious product Fusion Razor and in an attempt to publisize this created a world record..This proved to be even more advantageous for the  company as they got a massive response  from the participants went on ahead to become a world record breaking event.The entire activity was carried out before the presence of 50 supervisors and 2 witnesses on March 23,2012.

Most number of persons shaving simultaneously across multiple locations

Panasonic Corporations one of the famous Japanese Pioneers in electronic gadgets had just launched  its much awaited LAMDASH  the 5 blade wet and dry  electric shaver.The company along with Japan's national Football league Gamba Osaka decided to have the  after  shaving testimonials of  thousands of participants across 18 venues in 9 cities.The main venue was organised at Expo 70's ,Commemorative Stadium,Tokyo,Kanagawa, Osaka, Seoul, Hong Kong and Taipei.
This time around they got a grand feedback of 1,981 participants shaving using the LAMDASH 5 blade wet and dry shaver across the 18 venues.This record superseded the earlier one  of 1,379 participants in September 26,2009.
The current record of 1,981 partcipants was attempted to get a feedback about the performance of the LAMDASH and also to provide more people the opportunity to experience very close,smooth shave using the grand shaver.
The event turned out to be a fantastic positive response from the crowd   for Panasonic and Gamba Osaka    as  this  became a world record breaking event on November 3,2011.

Washing Hands  is a crucial part of personal hygiene.We make it compulsory to wash hands and feet after coming from outside,we wash our hands with soap before having food.These are some important rules every person needs to follow to stop the spreading  of germs.In developing Nations like India with mass advertisement campaigns and doctors emphasising on personal hygiene the idea has gained a certain level of acceptance among the masses.The number of educated persons can easily understand the significance but however it is not very much known in many  remote areas and  villages.The rules of personal hygiene are hardly followed by the people from the lower strat of the society due to ignorance and illiteracy.
This is particularly dominant in countries like Africa,parts of Latin America,Peru,Argentina,Mexico etc.Due to lack of awareness in these countries millions of children under five years die of unsaniatry conditions.Those countries particularly become a hot spot during epidemic and fast spread of virus due to poor hygiene and sanitary conditions.
To celebrate Global Hand Washing Day 2011 the pan American  Health Organisation joined hands to steer and educate the masses about  washing hands with soap and water to eliminate germs and viruses.In an attempt to make it known to everyone the organisation  set the record to make 7,40,870 persons wash hands with soap and water  across multiple location like Argentina,Mexico,Peru aetc on October 14,2011.The record was set to promote hand washing as a vital element of personal hygiene  and also in an attempt to educate the ignorant masses about  the benefits of improved sanitary conditions.Peru alone mobilised 604,246 , Mexico figured with 134,790 persons and Argentina came up with 1834 persons to make the total of 7,40,870 persons who  washed  their hands.

Most People wearing Red Nose

An event to wear red nose on the face  would get you a feel of looking like a clown.Yes and that was attempted by the South Australian Tourism Commission.The aim of the commission was to bring out the clown within every person and  to fill the atmosphere with cheer and happiness.Clowns are always synonymous with laughter and joy.They bring out  the fun element  when they perform on stage.
The credit union Christmas Paegaent is just totally different and it was sponsored by four  leading credit unions in South Australia.
16,092 people set a record by wearing red noses in annual parade owned and managed by the South Australian Tourism Commission on behalf of the South Australian Government at Credit Union Christmas Pageant on 12th November 2011 in Adelaide, Australia for 10 Minutes.
This one turned out to be a rather a record breaking event.The previous record of the most number of persons wearing red nose counted to 15,956 and was set in Portugal in 2010.However the current one turned out to be a fantastic record breaker and it was real fun to see so many people  getting in to the joyful spirit of the day.The event started at 9.10 A.M and saw an overwhelming response from the paegent goers.
The Credit Union Christmas Pageant is owned and managed by the South Australian Tourism Commission on behalf of the South Australian Government and sponsored by four leading credit unions in South Australia – People’s Choice Credit Union, Community CPS Australia, Credit Union SA and Police Credit Union.
This was a real good way to celebrate joy and spread the message  of  laughter and cheer by creating a world record attempt and this proved out to a record breaker in every way.

Most number of persons whistling simultaneously

Blowing a whistle indicates two intentions.The first one being drawing the attention of the public by an authority about an alleged misconduct and the second  case could a sign of  expression of excitement among friends.
Nazareth Area High School  took the postive indication of whistle blowing and made it a grand event by making it a world record feat.The songs  'God Bless America'  and 'America the Beautiful' were  whistled by 672 students of the school for 6 minutes ,47.59 seconds in tandem and rhythm.The event took place at Andrew S.Leh Stadium  in 501, East Center Street,Nazareth,Pennsylvania,United States of America on May 27,2011.
The  idea to break the record came from 14-year-old Cameron Ohrwashel, an eighth-grader who wanted to try out things differently.
Last summer, he began looking up for  various records and  the school was also  able to assist him in the effort.
The whistling was documented by recordings and photographs. Upper Nazareth Township Board of Supervisors Chairman Mike Rinker and police Chief Alan Siegfried also served as witnesses.
Ohrwashel liked the idea to whistle and felt that was something the whole school could come together and put up as a collective effort.The whistling experience would always have a positive bearing on the children's mind.Thinking so the middle school principal Kern got convinced with Ohrwashel's idea and the school got together to make this a grand record feat.

Most Number of People to catch a cricket ball

Cricket is a hot favourite for millions in India.The game is mostly and commonly played among boys and men on the streets and local grounds.Cricket is a team game and the game at all levels can be won when there is a good team effort coming from all the players in the team.Atlest the team would become a tough opponent to face when the team possesses good team effort.This was the message Shri Vision Social Empowerment and Welfare Association (SRV SEWA) wanted everyone to realise.Moreover the game is popular among the men but not among women.The organisation decided that girls have equalled men in all the fields and can give men a tough competition in cricket too.
A world record attempt is the best way to reinforce this fact and encourage girls and more women to participate in the game of cricket.SRV SEWA  along with 'Dainik Dabang Dunia' gathered 1,251 students of Maa Umia Girls Hostel at Rau,Indore to participate ina cricket ball catching relay.The students caught the cricket ball and were also inspired that team work truly works.
The event took place at Indore,Madhya Pradesh,India on November 10,2011.

Almost every child irrespective of caste,class,creed or sex harbours a passion to fly paper rockets.Children just love to make paper rockets and get too excited to see them fly albeit for even few seonds.Flying symbolises freedom and every child loves freedom .Freedom helps the child to develop and tap the talents he or she possesses and blossom to her full potential.This was the idea of Shri Vision Social Empowerment and Welfare Association (SRV SEWA)  to see every child  cherishing dreams,working towards it single mindedly and being even  happier  to see it fulfilled.
They conceptualuised the idea to make the children do what they love to do the most of flying paper rockets so that they get the message to dream,enjoy freedom in the right sense and see their dreams materialised.The organisation along with 'Dainik Dabang Dunia' gathered 1,251 students of  Maa Umia Girls Hostel at Rau,Indoreand made them fly paper rockets along with their teachers.The students were very happy to be a part of the event and  this went on to become a world record.
Thus by creating a world record the organisers made it very clear in the powewr of dreams and the will to achieve them  in a free environment.The event took place at Rau,Indore,Madhya Pradesh,India on November 10,2011.
